2009 HSA , (High School Assessment) test, 96% of Baltimore School for the Arts Grade 12 students met or exceeded standards in Biology. This is higher than Baltimore City Public Schools District average of 59%, higher than Maryland state average of 83% TaDa ! Arts are important to a child’s development. How can we continue to let this happen, our Baltimore City children are being thrown underneath the yellow bus !
Dance should be an integral component of a comprehensive education for the same reasons that math, history, language arts, social studies, and science are essential to education. Each subject taught to students helps them to learn who they are, how they interact with others in the world, and how they fit into history
